Doris studied fine art at Wimbledon School of Art and then completed an M.A. in photography in London. She worked as a freelance photographer in London with work printed in many publications including Vogue Magazine and Vogue living. Moving to Australia she continued to work freelance and also as a staff photographer on the Sydney morning Herald.
