Conference activities
At Challenge LBD Ltd. we have experience
of running conference activities over the last 10 years.
|
Flexibility
These activities can be focussed in a number of ways:
- As an energiser or fun event designed
to lift the atmosphere
- To highlight/demonstrate an issue being
raised at the conference
- As an opportunity to practice a company
methodology, e.g., Team working, Project Management etc.
- Such activities can take place with groups
from 12 to 300 and possibly more given the right venue. They
can last from 2 hours to all day, though, generally speaking,
time flies!
|
Tailored to your needs
We have a number of tried and tested activities
which we -
- have fine tuned over the years
- but we are also able to write new ones
to fit in with what you want or to give them a particular focus.
- we provide experienced staff to look after
the teams
- lead reviews if necessary
- we also provide all the necessary equipment
and make arrangements with outside agencies where needed.

Treasure Hunts
... are an old favourite with many people.
They are designed to get people away from the conference venue
and out into the countryside and/or surrounding towns and villages.
Delegates solve clues, crack codes and undertake tasks that help
them on the road to the treasure - that can be anything from
Champagne and chocolates to commemorative T-shirts etc.
|
Scramble
This excellent competitive task is based
around the family game scrabble but with a few clever twists:
- it is active and a lot of fun for all
types of people.
- teams collect the letters in various ways
depending on the size of the conference and the venue.
This game has a surprising amount of subtlety
and tactical play with the winning team often being determined
at the last move. |

Grand Prix
This task sees teams of delegates designing
and building Lego cars to race in the 'Grand Prix' at the end
of the event. The winning team takes the Champagne and the adulation
of the crowd! The cars are designed and the parts earned buy
completing small tasks and solving puzzles. The team members
need to organise themselves into functions to manage all this
and to communicate their plans and needs between them.
|
Mosaic
This task is not competitive and ends up
with a commemorative Mosaic being produced for the Office or
Company Head Quarters! The delegates work in teams to collect
the equipment and materials needed to create their mosaic before
designing and building the finished article. All the results
are then put together to create a giant Muriel or Mosaic which
can be hung on a wall back at the office. This task gives the
delegates a chance to express themselves in a creative way.
