Challenge LBD develops the managerial skills and conceptual abilities of those operating together as a team through "active" learning experiences, often in an outdoor environment.

 The Cycle

Individuals are helped to recognise and develop their managerial capabilities, and their willingness to take on responsibility for problem solving, decision making, planning and organising, as well as managing change and uncertainty during real life activities. Development is achieved through a series of "Learning cycles"

 The results

Aided by skilled facilitators participants develop processes in order to complete tasks, review results, draw conclusions and then plan how to transfer the learning back into the workplace. The result is more confident and able team members who understand the practical application of individual skills, who support each other in transferring the learning and who bring about change in the workplace.

 
 Team profiles

The process can be complemented and strengthened by the use of team profile inventories such as TMS, Belbin and Team index 360. Team index 360 is particularity useful in giving a picture of how a group, team, function or whole organisation perceives its effectiveness, behaviour and working practices
